Milt Lang, associate vice chancellor of student life, campus community and retention services, is going back to California State University, Chico, his alma mater, as vice president of Student Affairs.

For those who know Milt and his innumerable achievements, it goes without saying that we will miss his leadership when he leaves 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis on January 12, Adela de la Torre, vice chancellor of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity, said in a message to her leadership team today (Oct. 16).

Lang holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work from CSU Chico and a doctorate in higher education administration from Washington State University. He was an administrator at Washington State for 19 years (lastly as the senior associate vice president of student affairs and enrollment) before joining 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis in 2013.

De la Torre cited Langs achievements involving the Student Academic Success Center and the Educational Opportunity Program, First-Year Aggie Connections, and the founding of the campuss academic retention centers, as well as his work with student activists.
