It's only fitting that the ribbon that will celebrate the grand opening of the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art is also a work of art. The campus community got a chance last week (Oct. 5) to paint the links of the ribbon that will wrap around the museum for its Nov. 13 opening. . include the Verge Center for the Arts in Sacramento on Oct. 15 and the Napa Valley Museum on Oct. 22.

Meet a chemical-biology trainee

whose work is funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health. He's working on his Ph.D., and is working on a project titled, "RNA Tethering to Enhance Binding to Adenosine Deaminase Acting on RNA (ADAR2).” He said he initially wanted to make molecules, but now studies their impact.
