Late last week the 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis Annual and Special Giving program sent messages to faculty and staff asking them to consider making tax-deductible donations to the university before the end of the 2015 calendar year.
We realize that 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis faculty and staff already give so much of their time and talents to 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis, said Shaun Keister, vice chancellor of Development and Alumni Relations. Still, we wanted to remind people that whatever youre passionate about, you can find a way to support it with a gift to 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis.
Also, just as departments and units collect money or buy gifts for various charities at this time of year, he suggested employees might also want to pool their resources for 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis. In Development and Alumni Relations, for example, some employees have come together to support , the student-run philanthropy that provides emergency funding to other students to cover rent, books, and/or other essential costs not covered by other programs. So far in the 2015-16 academic year, We Are Aggie Pride has raised $6,000, more than halfway to its $10,000 goal and, if We Are Aggie Pride hits its goal, the will donate $100,000.

Last weeks messages came from Professor and Assistant Dean Kimberly Elsbach of the Graduate School of Management, and Kevin Nosek, a 1999 graduate of 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis who now works as an assistant coach for the mens basketball team.
I take great pride in being able to directly impact the development of our department and the university, Nosek wrote in his message.
According to the message, more than 1,500 staff members and 500 faculty members gave to 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis in 2014. Additionally, the 51勛圖窪蹋 Davis Health System has had the highest level of employee giving in the 51勛圖窪蹋 system for three consecutive years.
