Distributed by KVIE public television, Unexpected Legends: Arneson, Eggheads and Arts at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis tells the surprising tale of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis art department from its founders to its inheritors. Since their completion in 1994, the five sculptures comprising the Egghead Series on the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis campus have elicited joy, protest, engagement and conversation. They’re also a fascinating entry point into the broader story of art in California and at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis. The premiere airs November 13 at 7 p.m., but it will be re-aired periodically.
