We are navigating a number of issues that are changing rapidly, often by the day or hour. On Wednesday, I shared some information with faculty and staff after University of California President Michael V. Drake announced a systemwide hiring freeze designed to manage costs in the face of budget uncertainties.

Today, University of California President Michael V. Drake, M.D., directed all 51�ԹϺ�� locations to implement a staff hiring freeze as soon as possible. This action is part of a broader effort to thoughtfully curtail expenses and minimize impacts on our current workforce.

Updated Jan. 29: The Trump Administration has rescinded the memo freezing federal funds. 51�ԹϺ��OP will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
