A new technique developed by researchers at the University of California, Davis, offers a significant advance in using magnetic resonance imaging to pick out even very small tumors from normal tissue. The work is published May 25 in the journal Nature Nanotechnology.
May 25, 2020 - 4:35pm Andy Fell /curiosity/news/new-double-contrast-technique-picks-small-tumors-mri Key Advance: 51ԹϺ Davis Neuroscientists Get a New Look into How We Read /news/key-advance-uc-davis-neuroscientists-get-new-look-how-we-read
Neuroscientists at 51ԹϺ Davis have come up with a way to observe brain activity during natural reading. It’s the first time researchers have been able to study the brain while reading actual texts, instead of individual words, and it’s already helping settle some ideas about just how we read.

“It’s a key advance in understanding reading in the brain, because people are just reading normally,” said John Henderson, professor of psychology at the 51ԹϺ Davis Center for Mind and Brain. The work was published today (April 6) in the Journal of Neuroscience.
April 06, 2016 - 12:35pm Karen Michele Nikos /news/key-advance-uc-davis-neuroscientists-get-new-look-how-we-read
